A year later, she joined the American Communist Party. SHe was later involved in the murder of George Jackson and WN Nolen of the Black Panters in Soledad Carlisle Prison. SHe fled and became the most wanted fugitive. Davis was arrested in a New York motel, but he was not found guilty and the court released him.<br/><br/> 

This clip from the Early Motion Picture collection was filmed 1905 and scanned on HD format. The view on Manhattans Theatre District is from the top of the then newly-erected Times Building, at a height of approximately twenty stories. The photographer makes a pan to the north over the tops of the buildings from Bryant Park, south of 42nd Street (behind the New York Public Library) up 6th Avenue to the Hippodrome Theatre at 43rd Street. A marquee on the theater reads "A Yankee Circus On Mars."
